Welcome to Brookhollow Library

At Brookhollow's Library, our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to explore, discover, and grow. We are dedicated to promoting a lifelong love of learning, critical thinking, and creativity by providing access to a diverse collection of resources, both physical and digital. Our library serves as a hub for collaboration, innovation, and intellectual engagement, where students, educators, and the entire school community can connect, share ideas, and cultivate their intellectual pursuits.

Library Catalog

Students and parents may access the BES library catalog from any internet connection.

Users may search the online catalog, create lists of books they would like to read, and make holds from the Destiny Discover catalog. Each student must log into the library catalog with their student ID number and their complex computer password in order to place a hold. Access to the catalog is also helpful when students wonder what items they have out or when the items are due.

Library Policies

Every grade is able to check out books from the library. And each class visits the library once a week as a whole class at their assigned time. The library also has open circulation hours for 2nd-5th graders during each day when classes are not in the library for students to come and check out new books. We encourage students to come more than once a week!!

Pegasus and Pre-K can check out one book per student and they will leave books in their classroom library for the week.
1st grade can check out 2 books per student but they will leave books in their classroom library.
2nd, 3rd and 4th grade can get 2 books per student and they are allowed to take books home.
5th grade check out 3 books per student and are also allowed to take them home if they choose.

Students are not fined for late books. However, if they lose or damage a book, they are responsible for paying the cost to replace the book. These fines can be paid in cash or through RevTrak. Simply choose the school library you wish the payment to go to and follow the prompts.

Elementary

2x2

Recommended books for children aged two to grade two to encourage voluntary reading; a Children’s Round Table (CRT) project. The 2×2 list is not designed to support any particular curriculum.

Little Maverick

The Little Maverick Graphic Novel Reading List is a recommended reading list designed for children in grades K-5. The purpose of the list is to encourage students to explore a variety of current graphic novels. The Little Maverick Graphic Novel Reading List is intended for recreational reading, not to support a specific curriculum.

Texas Bluebonnet Award

The Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List includes titles for grades 3 – 6 and is not designed to support any particular curriculum.

Databases

You can access our research databases by going to ClassLink or accessing ClassLink from your Chromebook PFISD Bookmarks in the toolbar. Log in to ClassLink with your s# and password.

If you need username and password information to access a database or other resources, please ask your school librarian.
